About Sgt. Tommy’s Kids
The Sgt. Thomas M. Gilbert Memorial Foundation exists to promote youth education and appreciation of the outdoors. The foundation, also known as Sgt. Tommy’s Kids, is a public not for profit foundation to preserve the memory of fallen Downers Grove Marine Thomas Gilbert.
Gilbert was a dedicated Marine, an avid outdoorsman and a role model to several young children in his life. Though he did not have any children of his own, Gilbert's family hopes that every child reached through this foundation will be proud to call themselves one of "Sgt. Tommy's Kids."
